"To have someone believe in you and support you is priceless.  Because of Tatiana, whom I call 'my personal tormenter', I am not a bed patient today.  After my unexpected knee surgery from an infection and 10 weeks long stay in a hospital, my 88 year old body refused to cooperate.  I was so weak that I couldn't lift my arm to feed myself.  Because of my condition, I was discharged to a rehab hospital, where Tatiana tirelessly and with great stubbornness pushed me through some initially impossible exercises.  She constantly worked with the therapists to make sure I get most benefits.  However, because of severe muscle and flexibility loss I was unable to recover fast enough to move home.  After my transfer to a nursing facility, when many, including myself, gave up on my recovery, Tatiana volunteered countless hours to continue exercises with me.  Today, I am strong enough to do supervised walks with a cane.  Currently, we are working on my endurance and balance, so I can gain more independence.  And even though I am 90, she doesn't let me get away with anything." - Marjorie Malcovitch
